Prenatal Education Services

Within Canada, about one-third of women and two-thirds of first-time mothers engage in services involving prenatal education. Although the particular goals of prenatal education classes differ, the majority attempt to educate expectant mothers and their partners or support persons on breastfeeding, postpartum, changes in physical and emotional health due to pregnancy, parenting roles, and infant care and safety.
